Special Olympics

Jason Suino 23, of Hayward has been selected to compete at the 2013 Special Olympics for cross country skiing, in South Korea. We are having a fundraiser for Jason on November 24th 2012 at the Beechmoor Restaurant and Lounge on Whitefish Lake in Stone Lake Wisconsin. Jason’s airfare and lodging are paid for; however he is in need of some new equipment and miscellaneous training fees. Jason’s father Mark will be going with him to South Korea. We are also raising funds for his airfare, lodging and additional expenses. This is something to be very excited about. Jason is the first in Hayward history to be part of special Olympics. We are hoping that you would do a story on Jason, not just to promote our fundraiser, but because he is a very special young man with a heart of gold. He works three jobs, one of which is at the senior center in Hayward, WI. He helps out with the seniors when they need to be shuttled around. The other is at Marketplace in Hayward, WI. I just met his trainer this week and she told us he didn’t think he could make State because he didn’t want to take two Saturdays off in a row. And the third place he works is the Beechmoor Restaurant and Lounge. That’s where I met him years ago. You can’t miss his smile! He has worked for the Beechmoor since he was old enough to work and is a great asset. He is a true hero in my eyes.

I am attaching the flyer for our fundraiser and the article that just ran in the Sawyer County Record.
