I have been chronicling my bouts with the immense amount of snow we have gotten by taking pictures of my front yard as it looks out on old Hwy 63 in the town of Drummond. My family and friends know we live in the "snowbelt" and get more snow than even Grandview or Cable our immediate neighboring towns. While I have a sister in Milwaukee, a daughter in Valparaiso Indiana and another daughter in Topeka Kansas I have been the only one catching the weird weather we have received. I am a very longtime resident of northern WI having grown up from age 4 until now and I am 49. I grew up in Hayward and moved to Drummond in 1997. My husband grew up in Drummond and Grandview and has very deep roots here. I always heard of the tales of Drummond getting more snow than Cable, Hayward, etc. I didn't know how much until we moved into the town of Drummond half a block from the school. I now can show all my daughters and family and friends how crazy it can get here with Facebook. They love it. I have done this in previous years and it always gets comments from my family who used to live "Up North". People don't usually know where Drummond is so I say 30 miles south of Lake Superior and they get the idea. I love it here and never want to leave.
