Near tornado touchdown on Lake 14 in Britt MN on July 14, 2008 @ 8:45 pm!
This vertical funnel cloud developed quickly and gathered density and rotation, before regressing in a matter of 4 minutes of photos! The total time period was less than 10 minutes - and was most likely unnoticed by many neighbors on the lake who had already taken shelter inside their homes due to the rain. This experience demonstated the quiet build up of a potentially devasting event and the lack of time to prepare or seek shelter! Truly (and hopefully) a once-in-a-lifetime event!
