My niece and my Dad found this bug Tuesday night in Esko. It landed on my brothers leg and he hit it off... my Dad then picked it up, but the thing clamped onto his finger with its large tentacles. None of us are sure of what this bug is and are interested in knowing more about it. If anyone can shine some light on the subject, we would love to hear it!!

I was looking for a good two hours to find this species of bug and I think I found it. It is called an Eastern Dobsonfly. The one that you found appears to be a male. The female doesn't have the pincher like things.
