World premiere of "Crossroads Cafe" at the Shack Dinner Theater in Superior, Wisconsin opens a three week run on November 7th. The script is written by Minnesota native Mary Lynn Regnier.
Sooner or later, everyone comes to the crossroads. Jack's just an ordinary Joe with a good job, a wife, a couple of kids and a secret. Carly is a good-hearted woman in love with a good-timing man. When their lives spin out of control, they both end up at the Crossroads Cafe, a little-known, out-of-the way diner where the jukebox and the celebrity waitstaff serve up generous helpings of reality with a side-order of humble pie.
The world premiere of this new dramedy will debut at the Shack dinner theatre on November 7. The script manages to incorporate the titles of all 32 Marilyn Monroe films, as well as dozens of titles of Elvis Presley songs and movies into the dialogue while telling a story designed to tickle, warm and maybe even break your heart ... just a little. Showcasing the talents of Eamon Hill and Caitlyn Soderlund, "Crossroads Cafe" will have you watching Mailyn Monroe waiting tables and Elvis Presley slinging hash to the jukebox hits of a simpler time.
