Parent's Come Together

For several years, Robert J Elkington Middle School teachers have been allowed to bully, harrass, insult and degrade our children. They have broken laws, failed to follow thier own policies and by allowing bullying as bad as students being caught with weapons on them in school and not giving out consequences for such incidents, have put our childrens safety at risk. And now, when 2 men who were hired as principals finally try to run this school the right way, teachers who once were allowed to run the school the way they wanted by allowing children to fail, call them names, they don't want to do their job like they should have been and a few have started a petition to get rid of the 2 best things that have happened to this school. Our superintendant Mr. Silko who acts cluless when they didnt appear at the last school board meeting in fact started this petition and told them not to attend. To understand why this community is outraged please read the story on this link. http://www.grandrapidsmn.com/articles/2009/04/15/news/doc49dcc2749b299374427675.txt
It's about time the community stands up for our kids. By them allowing the drugs to continue to pass through the halls with out more then a slap on the wrist and no consequences for weapons being found on students, it's going to take a child to die or be seriously hurt before any one tells these teachers that they no longer will be allowed to run this school in this matter. These are our kids and we are ready to fight for them and take over the school ourselves until the Minnesota Board of Education gets these bullying teachers and super intendant are replaced by some real qualified staff that care about our kids. The days where kids were to be seen and not heard was over a long time ago and its time they are heard and we as parents will speak out for them Monday April 20th in Bigfork. And let me tell you this is only the beginning!!
