Each Thursday, Ryan Frane, head of the UMD Jazz Studies department, performs at The Shack in Superior. The trio consists of Ryan on piano, and a rotating cast of local jazz musicians on bass and drum.
Ryan also invites a different featured performer each to sit in on sax, trumpet, or trombone. Local jazz students from UMD and UWS can sit in and jam from 9 until 10 pm each week.
