The Barnum Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire on I-35 about 5:45 this evening. The vehicle was completely consumed by flames with thick black smoke rising a couple of hundred feet in the air. The fire took place on the southbound shoulder of I-35 between Mahtowa and Barnum.
