2 mile open water swim from Bayfield WI to Madeline Island in the Apostle Islands of Lake Superior that benefits the Bayfield Rec Center. Its freezing and you swim over up to 200 feet of water. Kayaks, rowboats, and the Coast Guard escort 220 swimmers across the water. Last year white caps broke over the swimmers as they finished - this year it was a little calmer!
