We started going to Sammy’s when they opened in 1954. They had the pizzas in the windows, which you could see from across the street. Our sons Greg, Billy, Bobby and daughter, [Jeanie] all worked for Sammy’s.
We came to Sammy’s every Saturday night for “umpteen” years. One Saturday, there was a blizzard, the phone rang, and Bill was sure it was Sammy’s calling, wondering where they were.
Bill’s sister, Jeanie, from Green Valley, AZ, comes to Sammy’s every time she comes back to Hibbing. There’s not a place in the world that makes pizza like Sammy’s Pizza.
Jini, from Suffolk, Virginia, is a Three Star General and he loves Sammy’s Pizza. It’s unlike any other!
