When growing up in Lakeside, our second home was Portman Recreation Center and that meant many nights we would miss a good dinner with the family. Thank-god for the great guys at Sammy's Pizza on the corner they always fed us good food. My friends and I would go in and order 5 slices of cheese and some peperoni or garlic cheese bread was another favorite. One of our coaches Mike Acheson would make sure we had food for our bellies.....Everyone at Sammy's was our family away from home.
I moved away from Lakeside but a thin crust sausage Sammy's Pizza made by the boys in the window will always be my favorite. Thanks for all the great food and Pizza that make memories.
