My 55 year Sammy's Addiction

I am a 1958 graduate of Denfeld High School and grew up with Sammy’s Pizza. I have attended most of my class reunions with the main thought of getting to enjoy another of my favorite Sammy’s kosher salami and pepperoni pizzas.

But my real story is the MANY frozen pizzas I’ve hauled back home in the cargo hold of airplanes. On one occasion, I phoned Sammy’s from San Diego, CA and ordered two dozen to be shipped air freight. Julie asked me if I wanted delivery the next morning. I said that would be fine and up pulls a Yellow Cab at 8:00 AM with the goods. Bill for this “pizza delivery” was over $250.00, BUT, well worth it.

We will be traveling to Duluth this summer in our motor home and my first stop will be Sammy’s.
