I am originally from the Iron Range and have been eating at Sammy's Pizza restaurants all throughout my childhood. When I graduated from high school I elected to attend college at UMD. I was so nervous about moving away from home and being on my own that I could hardly eat a whole week before I moved. Then the day came when my parents and I moved all my things into the dorms. After we moved all of my stuff in, we decided to go out for dinner. Sammy's was the most appropriate choice. My stomach was in knots all day but when we got to Sammy's I couldn't resist eating a large amount of pizza. Being there with my family and eating dinner helped relax me and when it was time for my family to drop me off, it went smoothly. Especially because I took a pizza back with me to my dorm room! It was all I could eat the first few days at college. So when I think of Sammy's I think of how they have awesome pizza and how they helped me through my college transition. :)
