I got Gibbs awhile ago & with us both not wanting just to throw him into some old fish tank, Kris made sure he had a one of a kind home. He goes through shedding days but not often, normally after a few days of good feasting. Having Gibbs We became farmers. We also raise mealworms. And for greens Kris built a spot in Gibbs habitat to put a planter of Bush Beans. Almost daily Gibbs gets to come out and go for his walk-abouts, only if he poos on his paper first. He knows that when he does his job (POO on paper) he gets to come out & walk around part of our house. He has gothen caught under the HEAVY couch & REFRIG. (no the door is blocked to the kitchen)& Kris has rigged up behind the couch but Gibbs fiqured how to get by that. Normally he is happy with hanging around my legs while I sew or paint. With the habitit built the way Kris designed it, Gibbs can be left for a few days without having to be worried about him. Heck we don't even have a pool much less three. Hope you enjoy meeting Gibbs

Blue's story is somewhat unknown, we got him from a shelter in Iowa nearly a month ago. We assume that he had never been to a beach, of any sort, but based on his overpowering and even "mighty" enthusiasm, curiosity, and playfulness, we guessed he would LOVE the water and sand of Lake Superior. And the pictures don't lie, he becomes a mad man when we take him there. Blue's crazed passion for hole digging and all other beach related activities is something I only aspire to emulate towards ANYTHING in my life. While his goofball nature makes it challenging for him to completely "possess great power or strength" in any one activity, he has mastered what many of us struggle to - having a "mighty" love for life.

We found our Weimaraner Kimber at an animal shelter in Little Falls, MN. She was 9 weeks old and sitting in a cold kennel with her siblings. My husband picked her up and brought her home. I was asleep at the time and woke up to this little face staring at me. That night I took her to Walmart to get toys and dog food. I took her inside and she rode in the cart like a baby. Two days after having her at home, she became very ill. We took her to the vet and we were told bad news. The Vet said she had PARVO and probably wouldn't make it. We decided to try anyways and so she spent 6 days at the vet. On the 6th day the vet said that she wasnt going to make it since she wasnt eating. I hurried and grabbed some kibbles and she immediately ate from my hand. We took her home the next day. She is truly a miracle and we are so thankful for the happiness she has broughten us. Kimber loves car rides, riding on the 4-wheeler and boat, she is best friends with our calico cat named Beans. Kimber loves to cuddle in bed and pass out on the rug laying in the sun. She has been such a blessing and we love her so much!

We have had lief (leif) erickson for 12 years. The first 1st year of his life he lived in a kennel and wasn't really able to enjoy life....until he met the fontaine family. Our son takes life everywhere and finding excitement everywhere they go together. Lief loves to be in the woods and water. This is a little video that our son made with his best bud and scout - lief erickson. We have many , many more videos like this and lief loves it all. I just think this video is funny to watch liefs expression...too funny.

I had been in Maryland looking at the Animal Allies website when I saw this little girl. My Mother had hip replacement and I was due to go home in another couple weeks but I knew that this little girl was meant for me. No one has a clue what we went through to get her to me; but she is mine. I named her Lucy after "A Charlie Brown Christmas." That was the show I had been watching while surfing the net that night.

Lucy is so cuddly and my little snuggle bunny. She loves everyone! And I bet if I would let her, she would get into some of that Starbucks (but I don't dare).

In August 2009, we adopted Eagan when she was about 5 months old. Her owner was not able to keep her and she had not been cared for as a puppy should have been. Slightly malnourished, she quickly gained weight and size ! She was loads of fun and quickly became our then 4 yr. old's partner in crime. We were told about her breed (Husky and Black Lab) but had no clue what we were in for until I started researching the Husky side, which was confirmed by our veterinarian. I had a pure bred Black Lab years ago and knew of the playful, loving side. The snow loving, high energy puppy quickly gained weight as well as the love from our hearts and introduced us to a true Wisconsin winter dog. Joe and I are both from big cities farther East so becoming more "one" with the winters here will be fun with an animal who fully embraces cold weather and deep, beautiful snow in God's country ! Attached are pictures and a video showing a sample of the energy from our newest family member.
